Bill Self has reportedly told his alma mater, Oklahoma St., to not bother talking to him about becoming the Cowboys head basketball coach. If Oklahoma St. was a school that had a great recent tradition than I could see leaving but Oklahoma St. has not been a relevant basketball school since they were Oklahoma A&M and Henry Iba was the coach. Self just signed a 5 year extension with Kansas last year and I am sure he will get more money after leading Kansas to the title this year. I would rather be at a school that is going to be a final four contender every year than a school that is told what to do by billionaire T. Boone Pickens. Right now the only thing I would want to watch at Oklahoma St. is Mike Gundy’s next press conference.
